Nicholas Ndlovu has a MSc in Environmental Governance from the Albert-Ludwigs University Freiburg. His MSc employed discource analysis theories and explored the Perceptions of REDD+ in Zimbabwe. Currently, he is employed as a Research Associate at the Forest and Environmental Policy Group working in a transdisciplinary project focused on agroforestry in Southern Africa. The aim of the project is to investigate the ecosystem services and environmental benefits of AFS as an innovative, multi-purpose land-use management practice in Southern Africa, with a special focus on the exploration of human-environment interactions and the benefits of agroforestry for rural livelihoods. This project also forms a part of his PhD studies.
Prior to this position, Nicholas worked for 5 years in the consultancy industry in Zimbabwe and Germany and his work covered aspects related to REDD+, agriculture and food security, forest and environmental restitution, environmental policy, biodiversity studies, socio-economic impacts assessments and climate change policy issues with civil society organisations in Africa.
